THE LEVEE, CENTRAL MAITLAND
In the lead up to the main event of Riverlights, there will be a range of interactive activities for all ages plus a lighting installation that will transform The Riverlink and the surrounding area. Each night, from sunset on Tuesday 8 October through to Friday 11 October, The Riverlink building will be treated with coloured washes and a dynamic lighting program to create an ambient illumination of Maitland’s cultural diversity.

CULTURAL GAMES NIGHT
Join in the fun and learn how to play a range of fun games from around the globe! Whether you’re a seasoned game enthusiast or a curious newcomer, this enchanting evening promises fun and learning for all ages.
Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this illuminating celebration of culture, unity and the universal language of play.

THURSDAY 10 OCTOBER
CULTURAL SHARING PALM CANDLE DANCE
Join Kiki and Wolf Ifritah as they share a group palm candle choreography. They have choreographed a piece that combines Kiki’s Indonesian dance moves with Wolf’s belly dance and fusion movements.
Many people come to fire dance through palm candles and this workshop gives opportunity to learn and be comfortable with moves appropriate for their use.

FLOW JAM
Step into the world of wonder as you join your local ‘flow arts’ community for a night of pure, glowing magic! It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, learn exciting tricks, and help our community shine brighter than ever. Whether you’re a beginner or expert, come and be a part of our luminous gathering.
Grab some poi, hoola hoops or fans and let’s illuminate the night together in UNITY! Don’t forget to bring along your little ones and their glowing toys and props. It’s going to be a glow-tastic adventure that you won’t want to miss! Kids welcome.
