Leading up to Riverlights on the 12 October 2019, the community is invited to make their own paper lanterns to be part of the flotilla at the festival with free workshops.
Children aged 5-14 are welcome to come along and participate in school holidays workshops at one of Council’s libraries leading up to the event.
Library workshops will not be the only way to participate outside of the event.
There will also be free lantern making workshops running at Riverlights. These workshops are free craft activities which allow kids to get involved in a fun and colourful way.

We caught up with students from Gillieston Public School, Maitland Christian School, Iona Public School and Wallalong Preschool, who were all really excited about being part of the festival.
